St Georges Week Emsworth

A week of events to celebrate St Georges Day starts on Thursday 19th April 2012 A "Champagne" Reception will be held at The Brookfield Hotel to launch the St Georges Week of Celebrations. This will provide another opportunity for 47 Regiment to give a presentation on the life and work of soldiers in Afganistan.
Monday 23rd April
Military parade, With the Military band will start from 10.30 with the roads in the southern part of Emsowrth town Closed between 10.15 & 11.30. This will be followed by tea & cakes in the Community Association with music from the Phoenix singers.
7pm - Curry, music and fun in the Spice Village Restaurant. The music again by the Emsworth Community Singers
Wednedsay 25th April
7.30pm- Springfield quiz night at the Brookfiled Hotel. A light supper will be served.
7.30pm - At Emsworth sailing club, Sea Shanties by the Shanty men.
Thursday 26th April- Brookfiled Hotel
15.00- The Elgar society will give a presentation on "Elgar" his life and work
Friday 27th April 7.30pm at the Emsworth Community Association
Jazz night with the St George Regis Jazz Band - supper included.
Saturday 28th April- Emsworth Arts trail comes to town... more details to follow
window dressing competition- Finals.
7.30pm St James Church, return of the Emsworth Proms with the choir of St James conducted by Sarah Pinnell. The evening will include music by Elgar.
