In connection with The Spring’s ‘Museums at Night: Ghostly goings on’ open night, this unusual talk will kick start the evening with a delightfully spooky atmosphere of mystery, history, and…ghosts!

We ask those interested inheritage and history, fans of the Royals or those with the inkling to delve into the darker side of the past to join us for an evening of the unexpected. This talk by historian and author Patricia Wright aims to fascinate and thrill the audience, with rare facts and thought provoking tales.

Patricia has published a number of articles and countless books, both fiction and non-fiction, including The strange history of Buckingham Palace. She has won many awards for her writing including the Georgette Heyer Historical Novel prize; and is a firm favourite amongst historical novel fans. Her talk will take the audience on a journey of the paranormal, with weird and wonderful facts which shed light on the history of Buckingham Palace.

The main residence of our Queen has a fascinating history, and its story plays a significant part in our Nation’s past, but it is not just an attractive Royal home. Wright will explore the ghosts in residence, tales of terror and strange stories that will fire imaginations and leave the audience speculating the reality of the ghostly characters discussed.

This exploration of Buckingham Palace’s unusual and often surprising past aims to leave the audience absorbed, intrigued and possibly with a chill running down their spines!
